This workshop will equip participants with practical tools to enhance their public speaking abilities. By the end of the session, they will:
1. Understand public speaking in the American context
2. Improve the variety of their vocal expression
3. Capture the audience’s attention with intentional body movement
4. Build a speech that resonates with the audience
5. Adjust how they speak based on settings
After the workshop, participants will leave with increased self-assurance and practical skills to apply in future speaking engagements,
whether for academic presentations, professional settings, or public forums.
The workshop is consisted of 2 parts –
Part 1 is a 30-45 minute introductory lecture (open for all, up to room capacity)
Part 2 is a 90-120 minute interactive practice session for 20 randomly selected attendees
